Rain Gauge Data
Rainfall/precipitation was recorded using standard rainfall gauges. Attempts were made to record the rainfall after each event in order to minimize losses from evaporation. During multi-precipitation events that lasted a few days, the gauges may only have been read once. Missing monthly data resulted from incomplete records due to stolen or damaged rain gauges.
