Grazing Study Data
A three-pasture seasonal suitability grazing system was studied from 1967 to 2002 on the CDRRC to determine if seasonal grazing of cattle, rather than continuous, yearlong grazing could improve the desert rangeland. This is one of the most detailed grazing studies done in the Chihuahuan Desert and provides valuable insight into continuous long-term data relating impacts of climatic conditions cow-calf production and impacts of forage. The information has been published as an Agricultural Experimental Station Bulletin (Bulletin-793).
